Happy 50th Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Happy 50th Birthday Dr. Seuss!
Jay being in Kindergarten is so much fun! And I am loving being the room mom for his class and spending this time with him. Since it was Dr. Seuss' 50th the whole school that Jay attends decided to have a big birthday celebration. The kids got to pick out a character from a Dr. Seuss book and dress like it on Friday. Jay LOVED this! I got together with a few of the other Mom's that have kids in Jay's class that I get along with really well and we coordinated our kiddos outfits. The kids loved it. They had so much fun celebrating Dr. Seuss and reading a lot of his books and watching some movies too. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Our Cat in the Hat- Jay Wright.
The goodies that we made the class.
"1 Fish 2 Fish - Red Fish Blue Fish"- 2 Red fish in a cup if blue jello. The kids enjoyed this after reading the book.
"Thing 1 and Thing 2" cupcakes. They got to eat the cotton candy covered cupcakes at their milk break.
"Happy 50th Birthday Dr. Seuss" celebration bags. Each kid in the class took one of these home at the end of the day. There were bubbles, candy and bouncy balls in each bag.
Tanner & Jay as the Cat in the Hat
and
GraceAnn and Lorianne as Thing 1 and Thing 2
