Family Picture 2009

Wright Family 2009
Damon & Jodie
Jay (3 1/2 Years Old) and Emma (3 Months Old)

Samuel Simonsen and Jay Wright
(These two are best friends and the same age. But total opposites:
Samuel- White, white hair and beautiful Blue eyes &
Jay- Dark Brown hair and Black eyes (Or as close to black as you can get! Seriously!))

Samuel and Jay doing what they do best!
Wrestle!!!!! And they even managed to not get any grass stains!

So we recently went and took some family pictures with the help of our friends the Simonsen's. And we took their new family pictures. They turned out really good. Here is our favorite from our family picture. Jay just has the cutest smile. And it is so hard to get Emma to smile out in the sun. Even though she has a cute smile, she wasn't showing it to us. Also since she is teething, most of the pictures had her hands in her mouth. Oh well, we will take what we can get. I still thought that a lot of them were really cute! And then there are a few of Jay and Samuel (Best Frienamies!)! Seriously, they have a love-hate relationship. Thank goodness it is more a love relationship. But they do love playing together and having fun with their trains.

Emma 3 Months Old

Here is my little 3 Month Old. Sorry about her not being to smiley in this pic. She wasn't liking the flash that day. Oh well, you get what you can with new babies. Emma is growing and developing soooo much each day. Below you will find a video of her rolling from back to tummy. She just won't stay still. Rolling all over the place like a little barrel. She can hold her head up for a long time now. And even enjoys getting in the exersauser for about 10 minutes at a time now. Of course with a blanket wrapped around her so that she isn't moving all over in the seat. Her favorite place to be though is in the front pack walking around with me while I get things done. She even enjoys sewing with her Mommy. : ) The pool opened up this weekend and we are excited to get her and Jay out there in the pool. We still enjoy her sleeping all night from 9 :30 pmish till 7 amish. What a good baby!!!

Sorry for the poor quality. I am new to video upload.

2 Month Pictures of Emma

Here are some fun pictures of Emma that we snapped for her 2 month old shot. Yes, I do realize that in 3 days she will be 3 months old. And that I am just now posting them. But oh well, that is to life as a Mother of Two. Jay actually took some of the pictures. He loves to take pictures and if I leave my camera laying around I can hear him giggling and come to
find a full memory stick of things that Jay took pictures of. Normally the ground, his feet, or his stuffed Horse, "ET". ET is actually one of my Dad's horses that Jay LOVES to ride when we are out at Paw Paw's ranch. Paw Paw is always so good to take him on horse back rides. Don't worry Emma, as soon as your head gets a little more stable you will be right up there as well. So the white dress that Emma is wearing, I actually made. I have really been on a sewing trip. I love my sewing machine and thinking of new things that I can make with it. I actually need to learn how to make bloomers for some of Emma's outfits. Including this one. So hopefully I can learn soon. We just found out that my sister is having her first little girl so we are excited to start making her stuff as well. Emma is still the best baby. She loves to sleep through the night and I love that she loves that. She is also already teething and getting her K9 teeth in. And yes, I am sure about that. You can feel and see them. And she is a little slobber factory. Oh well, we still love her! We just love her gummy smile in all these pictures. She is such a happy baby and you can really tell by these pictures.

Emma 2 Months Old

Emma Annalie Wright
2 Months Old
Wow... I can't believe that Emma is already 2 months old. Well, she is actually 2 1/2 months old now. So here are her stats...
Weight: 11 pounds 14 ounces (4 pounds more then at birth) -75%
Length: 23 inches Long - 75%
Head: 15 1/2 inches Around - 75%
So I am not surprised about the weight or the length. The little girl is a great eater. But the head... Jay's head was always off the charts! As you can tell if you have ever seen him. His head is the reason that I was unable to deliver him naturally. Plus the fact that he was a 10 pound baby. But Emma's head doesn't seem huge. Oh well!! Here are some things that Emma is able and loves to do.
-Smile (As you can see in the picture above.)
-Coo back at you when you are talking to her.
-Laugh a little laugh when you are making her smile.
-She actually loves sitting up and can hold her head up for a long time before it starts swaying.
-If she is laying flat on her back, she will lift her head up as far as she can.
-She loves her pacifier and we had to try 3 different kinds to know which one she like. Mam!
-She still has all of her hair. I hope to keep it that way.
-She spits up just like her brother did but not as much as he did. Thank goodness.
-Not a big fan of tummy time. But does it anyways.
-Rolls from tummy to back.
-Still has all of her birth marks.
And my favorite...
-SLEEPS ALL NIGHT!!!! Yeah, that is what I said. Emma is a GREAT sleeper! She has been sleeping 5-6 hours since she was born. The Dr. said that I had to wake her to feed until she got to her birth weight and so I did that till she did. About 2 weeks old. Then when that happened I let her sleep. And the 2nd night of doing that Emma started sleeping 8 to 9 hours a night. YAY!!! I love it! She wants to go to bed at 10 pm and then she won't wake up till between 6-7 am, nurse again and sleep for 2 more hours. What a good baby! Jay would wake up every 2 hours to nurse. And I was always so dang tired! Thank you Emma for making nights a great thing!
