Crawfish Boil

Since moving back we have been able to have the opportunity to get back to our Cajun roots. And one great way of doing that is eating...
CRAWFISH!!!!!
And lots of it too. We had a party the other day that we had been planning for months. And it went really well. We had well over 100 people come and enjoy some good company and great food. If you know me, then you know how much I enjoy get togethers. So this was a lot of fun to me. Damon asked his Uncle Poppy who owns a bricking company if he could find us a piece of plastic that was about 30 yards long. Well Poppy really came through and got us a piece of plastic that was 100 yards by 40 yards. We put it on the hill between the lake and pool and boy did the kids have fun with the sprinkler up there and soaping it up. It was a great day outside and we really enjoyed sitting talking and eating, playing in the pool and watching the kids have fun on the huge slip and slide. Thanks Poppy, your the best! This little swimming pool was completely full when we started with 170 pounds of delicious crawfish! Mmm mmm mmm!!!!
Mmm mmm mmm... Some of the cooked crawfish and potatoes. Yummy! Great job Jonathan! It was so good!
2 cute cousins playing! Quincy LaPray & Mia LaPray
Jay being a stinker and squirting everyone.
My cousin Peter LaPray helping his daughter Mia use a floaty to go down the slip and slide with.
Jay sliding down on the shark.

Jay sliding down the slip and slide. With many others.Mia LaPray slip and sliding. She was the bravest little 2 year old ever. No one had to talk her into doing it. She just jumped up there herself and never looked back.
Hanging out on the back porch and by the pool.

that is one heck of a party!
I love get togethers and love the "more the merrier" mindset!
How awesome!
Where is this place the party was at? Is it the same as Emma's 1st birthday?

It is actually at the LaPray Rec Center. Emma's party was at my other Aunt's Rec Center (aka the Fawcett Rec Center). They both have amazing Rec Centers and it is nice to be able to use them.
